Marine Deck Officers
Marine Deck officers are responsible for the safe navigation of the ship, communications, cargo loading/discharge and ship stability. Deck officers also supervise the crew when occupied on general maintenance work, cargo hold and tank preparation and in mooring or anchoring operations. Other duties will include maintenance of life saving and fire fighting equipment, running fire, safety and lifeboat drills, correcting charts and weather reporting. Most of the ship’s legal and commercial business is undertaken by senior deck officers.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1.SECOND MATE (COURSE DURATION 2 MONTH)
- Passport Copy (Data pages)
- Seaman book (Data pages and Stamp Pages)
- Letter of experiences (Minimum 24 Month in Deck side with approved pre sea training) or 36 Month experience without Pre Sea training.)
- Photographs 1.75” x 1.75” 8 in numbers (white background)
- Medical fitness certificate on prescribed format by approved Doctor.

2.CHIEF MATE (COURSE DURATION 1 MONTH)

- Letter of experiences (Minimum 12 Month Sea Service as Second officer holding valid Certificate of Competency)
- Photographs 1.75” x 1.75” 8 in numbers (white background)
- Medical fitness certificate on prescribed format by approved Doctor.
