PRE SEA TRAINING ADMISSION PROCEDURE & ELIGIBILITY

I.DECK CADET / ENGINE CADET (Duration of Training is 3.5 Month)

  1. Candidate must be qualified 10 + 2 stream with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English.
  2. Age between 16.5 Yrs to 27 Yrs.
  3. Must be physically and mentally fit.
  4. Eye sight of both eyes should be 6/6
  5. Candidate should be hard worker, sincere and energetic with positive attitude.

II.SEAMAN/ GENERAL PURPOSE RATINGS ( Duration of Training is 3.5 Month)

  1. Candidate must be qualified 10 + 2 stream with any subject along with English as one of the subject.
  2. Age between 16.5 Yrs to 30 Yrs.
  3. Must be physically and mentally fit.
  4. Eye sight of both eyes should be at least up to (+ ve) or (–ve) 2.5
  5. Candidate should be hard worker, sincere and energetic with positive attitude.

III.MARINE TECHNICIAN  ( Duration of Training is 1.5 Month)

  1. Candidate must be qualified Diploma/Certificate course in any of the subject like Mechanical/Electrical/ Welder/Fitter along with English as one of the subject.
  2. Age between 16.5 Yrs to 35 Yrs.
  3. Must be physically and mentally fit.
  4. Eye sight of both eyes should be at least up to (+ ve) or (–ve) 2.5
  5. Candidate should be hard worker, sincere and energetic with positive attitude.

IV.GRADUATE MARINE ENGINEER (G.M.E)  (Duration of Training is 1.5 Month)

  1. Candidate must be qualified Bachelors Degree in any subject like Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical and Electronic Communication with English as one of the subject.
  2. Age between 16.5 Yrs to 35 Yrs.
  3. Must be physically and mentally fit.
  4. Eye sight of both eyes should be at least up to (+ ve) or (–ve) 2.5
  5. Candidate should be hard worker, sincere and energetic with positive attitude.

V.ELECTRO TECHNICAL OFFICER (E.T.O) (Duration of Training is 3 weeks)

  1. Candidate must be qualified Bachelors Degree in any subject like Electrical/Electrical and Electronic Communication with English as one of the subject.
  2. Age between 16.5 Yrs to 35 Yrs.
  3. Must be physically and mentally fit.
  4. Eye sight of both eyes should be at least up to (+ ve) or (–ve) 2.5
  5. Candidate should be hard worker, sincere and energetic with positive attitude.

SELECTION CRITERTIA

STAGE-1

  1. Checking the Eligibility on the basis of academic qualification
  2. Receipt of completely filled pre sea training application form.

STAGE-2

  1. Mental aptitude test and subject related test

STAGE -3

  1. Medical and Physical fitness test by Maritime authority approved Doctor

STAGE-4

  1. Interview of Parents/Guardian along with Candidate

NOTE:
After Successful completion of Training Candidate will be awarded with the following:

  1. Course Completion Certificate ( Pre Sea Training Diploma)
  2. IMO Convention STCW Course Certificates.
  3. Tanker Familiarization Course Certificate.
  4. Seaman Identity Record Book
  5. Campus Interview Letter for Onboard ship training.

ONBOARD SHIP TRAINING

Successful cadets will be placed on board ship training (Sea Service) for a period required for

Certificate of Competency as Marine officer.
